Principal Message

Dear Allard Elementary Families,

The staff at Allard Elementary School welcomes you and your family to the 2022-2023 school year!  We are committed to making this upcoming school year a success for all students.

As a reminder, the school day for students will be from 8:30 a.m. – 3: 15 p.m.  The doors to the building will open each morning at 8:25 a.m. Students being DRIVEN to school are permitted to arrive at 8:25 a.m.  The main lobby ‘Student Drop-Off’ area will not be open prior to that time. Please do not leave your child unattended in the front of the school building before the doors open.  Additional information regarding arrival and dismissal may be found in a separate Skyward message.  We will be following the same format for dismissal as last year.

If you need to drop something off to the building, please ring the buzzer and a staff member will assist you.  In addition, if you are picking up items from the building, please ring the buzzer and a staff member will provide you with the materials.

There are many great things occurring at Allard!  We are committed to making this upcoming school year a success for our students. We will be continuing programs this year such as continuing Rachel’s Challenge to promote anti-bullying and kindness and PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) to promote school safety and good behavior.  The students enjoyed PBIS last year with such things as monthly drawings for positive behavior rewards, special dress-up days, and several fun school-wide assemblies!  We are looking forward to this year’s activities and events!

Research has shown that the involvement of parents/guardians in the education of a child can be directly related to their success.  We also believe that you are a critical part of the success of our school.  In order to help foster success in our students, we ask that you do the following:

  • Make sure that your child attends and arrives on time for school each day.
  • Monitor your child’s homework on a daily basis.
  • Support our positive behavior initiatives at school.
  • Read with your child or encourage your child to read each day.
  • Become involved with our Allard Family.

Our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is a great way to participate in our school.  More information will be forthcoming regarding our Parent Teacher Organization.  Please consider supporting our school by becoming a member of our PTO.

Your child’s homeroom teacher will be a valuable resource, and I encourage you to establish a positive relationship with our teachers.  Remember, Together Everyone Achieves More (TEAM).

I look forward to partnering with each of you to make the 2022-2023 school year a success for all students.  I am honored to serve as your Principal at Allard, and to be part of this wonderful Allard community.

Sincerely,

Dr. Susan Kazmierczak
